Kael - A winter wonderland but no Santa Tormax
Ok we had some disappointments in Kael with the level 80 farmers beating us to the only target that was up. However, it did give us an opportunity to practice some tactics in and around King Tormax's room with feign splitting, tagging and off tanking. Good job all, was much fun to dust off my old monk again and run him round Kael for old times sake
We did get the leather bracer in Kael for MQ for any guild Monks that would like to do the turnin for the clicky bracer that summons 80 Magical Shuriken. Always nice item to have in your backpack. Contact Lostme if you are interested in this MQ please.
Thought Horror Overfiend - Even his mum thinks he's ugly!
Chewed our way to the room with no problems at all. We probably outgunned the zone a little bit up to that point but was good fun and a little xp for all on the way.
Thought Horror Overfiend was up and proved to be a bit of a handful with AOE debuffs which caused a lot of problems for our caster heavy crew. We were joined at that point by Uomanrotyr who kindly tanked the big ugly fellah for us. It seemed a long fight but lasted around 7 minutes which is fast compared with most people posting about their experiences on Allah's (25-45 minutes).
Cut to the chase, Phat Lewt of the night went to Hardhiter.
Spell data as follows:
**Marvelous Visions**
Increase STA by 50
Increase Attack Speed by 30%
Duration: 1 hour(s) 12 mins
This is super rare, quotes from some of the unfortunates who regularily camp this belt below:
"Update: 19 kills, no belt."
"have killed him like 20 times and no belt"
"23rd THO that I had killed in the last year. First belt that I've ever seen"
"Ive killed THO an upward of 30 times and have yet to see this drop"
Gratz Bro and enjoy ;D
Grigor - Not exactly the wisest Magi in our Christmas story
From there still debuffed with Feeble Mind/Overfiends Fury and Mana Drain we proceeded to our Target for the zone being Grigor Rojna for Alluring's Mage 1.5.
With Uo's added DPS he didnt last long despite his nasty little proc which hurt pretty bad.
One dead Erudite later and Alluring was the proud owner of:
Codex of Ice and Ether
Gratz Alluring, looking forward to helping out with the rest ;D
K few lessons to learn from last night:
1. We weren't all on the same page with communication at some points - some in voice, some in guild, some could see raid speak, some couldnt. Lost and I need to work on this and find an agreed set of channels including voice if that is an option all can use.
2. If we are using a puller we need to keep the main raid back a ways to allow for FD split and not go charging in en masse. We did a great job setting up a very effective kill zone in King Tormax's room which gave me plenty of room so I didnt train you all if the pull went wrong. We need to work on that approach even in tight tunnels like the Deep.
3. It would be helpful if people could check forums and post who they are bringing beforehand as it makes setting up groups a lot easier and we can get going a lot quicker.
4. We are going to assign some roles next time like off tank, primary looter (for junk and droppable items). Any volunteers please make yourselves known.
5. Need to get all to set up Assist keys and raid messages when tanking, tagging or off tanking just so everyone knows who is doing what. If in doubt we can either post some guidlines here or group with you in game and get these messages set up together.
Anyhow I have rambled on enough, you prolly stopped reading around about the nice picture of the drop =P
Well done all, really good night with 10 people.
Thanks, in no particular order, to:
