many have said to pull one way or another based on class.
for myself i use bow & arrow over using a stun spell.
being a pally, not sure if it truly makes a difference.
less agro if you use a bow. ideal if you are just the puller and makes it easier for the MT to grab aggro.(myself i have an anger aug on it, which defeats this point, but have yet to see it hit)
even if i MT i still use a bow. besides a good bow will have a longer range than a spell
also i don't want to be bothered in having to change out an item in the range slot just because i can get something better for stats, effect, etc .
simply put, do what you think is best and listen to suggestions from others but dont pressure someone into doing it this way or that because they siad so.

Agreed, Thal. Personally I use my spells because of quick cast time and even w/ the best bow/arrow combo w/ a 30% extended range I can cast further than I can see or shoot w/ my bow and arrows. I have a good range item, and a bow that's only a slight down grade for those times i do a bit of kiting... I myself hate to have to switch gear out before jumping in to get my hands dirty. And anways, dumping agro is np as a SK

If you truly want to see pulling in action, find a Mage puller to a good tank. I can chain pull with the best of them (IMHO), and better than some rangers i've grouped with. Just give me a sow, and a level 1 nuke (fast cast, good range, low damage) and I pull till the cleric is screaming LOM, which rarely happens because my pet off tanks out of range until the MT and the rest of the group is done chewing through the 1 that was in camp when i left to pull. BTW, did i mention i love chian pulling for a good tank??

all well and good ... I think the real idea is for a group to bite off just enough that they can chew.. I take that to mean a single mob that takes the full effort of the entire group to kill.
my 2cp worth..
